Technique 7 – find a belonging group
Belonging is one of the most basic human needs and sometimes we completely miss this from our lives.
Often we feel different or we are excluded – this happens at work and in our personal lives. We can be surrounded by people but we may not feel a sense of belonging.
If you are feeling isolated, rejected or excluded, find a group that you can connect with or re-connect with an old group you know. If you feel like you don’t belong, go out and seek something that you can do with people that you like and are like you. It could be a new hobby, sport, a challenge or a simple activity where you have a similar interest.
Find out and hang out with people that are similar or different but people that get you and you get them. People that welcome you and you welcome them!
