Jenny Rossiter – Social Isolation | A Survival Guide
We all know what it’s like to feel unsafe and how a lack of trust in a person, process or situation can make us feel totally off balance and offsets success.
Fundamentally we are social animals and we need to feel safe with each other. This is at work, at home and in our social groups. Regardless of the cause or level of uncertainty, the antidote is the same: go to a place where you feel safe and secure.
As life throws such unpredictability it is critical that we hang out with people that we feel safe with, we like and we trust. If you are in a workplace or home place that doesn’t feel safe, go to a place that does. With people that care.
In times of social distancing, we can use technology to connect with people to increase our sense of belonging, mattering and safety.
But whatever you do. Make time to connect and make time to feel secure.
