Jenny Rossiter – Social Isolation | A Survival Guide
When we lose control of our normal routine or anything that gives us a sense of predictability our brains desperately search for certainty. our brains love certainty and hate uncertainty.
Unfortunately, life is not predictable and curveballs happen, we lose control and sometimes the best thing to do is to just release into the chaos and go with the flow.
3 key techniques that help manage curveballs
- Acceptance – Kindly and compassionately accept that things are not in control at the moment and if you can, walk away and start again tomorrow
- Go with the flow – Try and be adaptable and flexible and know that sometimes riding the wave and going with the flow is the best thing to do.
- Be kind – In stressful times, kindness changes the game. BE KIND to yourself and others
